Plot

Set in the utopian Piltover and the oppressed underworld of Zaun, it tells the story of two iconic League of Legends champions and the power that will tear them apart. In 2013, Fortiche Productions made a music video for Riot called “Get Jinxed,” featuring Jinx and the city of Piltover. Riot was so impressed with the work that they asked Fortiche to create an animated series, which took several years. After the first season was released, Riot announced that a second season would be made and that it would take less time to produce.

I watched with my parents who know nothing about the League universe.

But my parents were pleasantly surprised

I’ve been playing League since 2010 so my opinion may be a bit biased. They said that at times it was a bit obvious that this show is aimed more at a younger audience. Some of the pop songs and the villain went a bit overboard with the mustache. But overall they enjoyed the first 3 episodes and wouldn’t mind watching the rest in their own time.

As for me

I loved it! It was everything I expected and more. Riot’s art department has always been at their best. And with Fortiche’s history I knew this had very little chance of going wrong.

Overall this show is coming together very nicely

Knowing Riot’s art department, it has an excellent story, well written characters, and a rich world to draw from. And shows off some of the best talent Riot has to offer. 9/10: Amazing.
