Plot

Follow the stories of a group of Londoners during the bombing of the British capital during World War II. Saoirse Ronan and Harris Dickinson previously starred together in See How They Run (2022). I saw this today at the British Film Festival at the Royal Festival Hall. I had no idea what to expect as I was celebrating with a friend who had bought tickets, but I’m so glad I went. It’s a touching and thought-provoking story and the child actor who plays the lead deserves a Best Actor award for this film, I hope he gets recognised for it despite his young age. I think watching it in London, where it’s set, makes it even more moving, especially if you’re a local history buff like me. All the cast were brilliant and played their roles brilliantly and it’s a must see for young and old alike, showing the history that our grandparents experienced.
