The plot is simple, and from the very beginning it is clear what the outcome will be, leaving little room for surprises or participation. The cast, including Blanco Suarez, Alberto San Juan and Ernesto Alterio, are talented actors, but their performances are overshadowed by a script that doesn’t reflect their abilities properly. It is surprising why they decided to participate in a project that does not fully utilize their skills. The humor and romantic elements of the film feel strained and lack the wit that could improve the narrative. In short, “El cuarto pasajero” is an unforgettable entry in the filmography of Alex de la Iglesia, lacking the depth and creativity that usually characterize his films. It is sad to see such a talented director and actors participating in a project that does not leave an indelible impression.
